Final Product

My final product is a reflection of the knowledge that I have gained under my mentorship journey with Dr. Wilson. Using his expertise and the information I acquired through my independent research, I was able to create a knee model prototype. The knee model is able to provide the wider public with a visual and interactive representation of the joint and its surrounding structures. While it is just a prototype, the model has the potential to help people understand what exactly is being done to their body during a surgery if they would like to learn more in depth. Including detachable ligaments and adding the layers of muscle and skin that are not typically found on a knee model, my prototype can also be used to demonstrate how injuries occur within the body.
