Dr. Philip Wilson
As a part of the Independent Study and Mentorship Program, I am able to mentor under a professional in the field that I am interested in. I selected the topic of orthopedic surgery this year and was able to meet with Dr. Wilson. He has agreed to be my mentor and you can learn a bit more about him below.
About Dr. Wilson
Dr. Philip Wilson is currently employed at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as an assistant chief of staff and a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and associate program director for the Sports Medicine fellowship. Attending UT Southwestern Medical Center for his internship and residency, Dr. Wilson has returned and is also currently a professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2004, Dr. Wilson is affiliated with a variety of professional organizations, including both the American Academy of Orthopaedic surgeons and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. I look forward to learning from his experience.
