Now that I am well into the second semester of ISM, we have begun conducting research to contribute to our final products. As of right now, I have proposed to create a website that provides comprehensive guidance on how to write a research paper for people who don’t really know where to start. It is meant to be a useful resource for high school students who are interested in getting involved in research but don’t know where to start.
However, that plan is not set in stone yet. I have also considered potentially compiling all of the resources and information that I find into an interactive game to teach people in a more simplified way. Although I have not created either one yet, I will need to begin working on it soon and will keep you updated on which one I end up choosing.
Overall though, I am excited to make a resource that will hopefully help other aspiring researchers or students in AP Research by making the research paper writing process easier to understand. With the resource, future researchers will be able to feel less intimidated by the whole writing process and the field will be more accessible to people who do not have the opportunity to mentor under someone who is heavily involved in the world of research!
